About The Position

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hard-working individual to help with obtaining permits from municipalities for utility work. This role would include assisting with permits for construction projects, as well as project management duties such as pushing projects forward.

Requirements

Associate degree in business administration, or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft programs and Adobe Suite
Experience tracking multiple open items or deadlines at once (e.g., project coordinator, dispatcher, paralegal, or similar background) also considered
Proactive follow-up: initiates repeated contact with municipal offices without being prompted, and does not let a stalled request sit unaddressed
Able to track 10-20+ open permits across multiple jurisdictions at once without losing status
High tolerance for bureaucracy: stays calm and persistent when government offices are slow, unresponsive, or inconsistent
Strong attention to detail on paperwork, since an error on a permit application can cost weeks in delay
Able to adjust communication style for different audiences: formal with a municipal clerk, technical with an engineer, direct with a construction crew
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

Nice To Haves

2+ years in a role involving government/municipal interaction, permitting, right-of-way work, or construction/utility administration strongly preferred
Comfortable reading basic construction or utility plans/maps (helpful, not required)
