The City of Marion has one opening in the Community Development Department. Depending on qualifications, the position will either be classified as a Permit Clerk or a Permit Technician I. In either role, the position will assist the Building Department in meeting its responsibilities. The nature of this position is such that the employee has considerable independence in performing routine work, processing permits, scheduling inspections, takes in and processes complaints, giving information and related duties.
