Permit and Licensing Technician
About The Position
At Reds Electrical Service Inc, we deliver exceptional electrical services grounded in respect, integrity, and excellence, building lasting relationships with our customers, partners, and team through trust, collaboration, and accountability. We are a large scale industrial electrical contractor with projects located across the United States. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized and proactive Permit and License Technician to join our growing electrical contracting office. The Permit and License Tech supports the operations and estimating departments by managing permit capture for new jobs, licensing requirements for jurisdictions we are currently operating in, and supporting key employees with their licenses and renewals.
Requirements
- Experience with construction permitting process
- Understanding of general municipal codes and construction procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Analytical problem-solving ability
- Customer-service mindset
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Work with Estimating to determine jurisdiction
- Work with authorities to obtain permits
- Work with Operations to schedule inspector visits
- Maintain current active licenses
- Maintain qualifier licenses.
- Partner with appropriate parties to resolve compliance issues
- Other duties as assigned
