The Middle School Permanent Substitute Teacher and Athletics Coach supports both the Middle School academic program and Westminster Athletics throughout the academic year. This position is well suited for an adaptable, student-centered educator who enjoys working across multiple areas of school life and is committed to supporting students academically, physically, and personally. Reporting to the Head of Middle School, the employee provides consistent instructional coverage across Middle School academic disciplines in the absence of classroom teachers. The position also assists with coordinating daily substitute coverage, communicates with faculty and staff about classroom needs, provides student supervision, and participates actively in the life of the Middle School. In partnership with Westminster Athletics and the High Performance staff, the employee also supports strength, conditioning, sports performance, and student-athlete development. Athletics responsibilities may include working with students in grades 6–12 before and after the academic day, assisting with training sessions and athletic operations, and supporting designated athletic events. Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in mentoring students. The employee must be able to transition effectively between academic, supervisory, and athletic responsibilities while supporting Westminster's mission and values.
