Elementary School EF Permanent Building Substitute for 2026-2027
About The Position
East Farms Elementary School is seeking a Permanent Building Substitute for the 2026–2027 school year. The position provides direct classroom experience working as a teacher or paraprofessional and may be suitable for people interested in obtaining teaching certification or supporting their local district. The substitute will primarily support East Farms Elementary School, serving grades K–4, and may occasionally work at other elementary schools when needed. Permanent Building Substitutes are guaranteed an assignment every day school is in session, with assignments made daily based on their home school. The position may terminate at the end of the 2026–2027 school year. The daily pay rate is $144. The position is eligible for health insurance and paid sick time under CTPSL.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with school-age students.
- Submit three letters of reference and copies of college transcripts as part of the application.
- If hired, complete fingerprinting within 30 days.
Nice To Haves
- State of Connecticut teacher certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support East Farms Elementary School, serving grades K–4, and occasionally other elementary schools when needed.
