About The Position

Average salary is $67,204.80 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.). This role is ideal for experienced child welfare leaders with a strong background in case management oversight, staff supervision, and achieving positive outcomes for children and families. Texas Family Initiative is looking for a full-time Permanency Supervisor to add to their team. As a Permanency Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the Permanency staff assigned to the area. You will promote the well-being of children in the Permanency Services Program, participate in staff meetings and trainings, and coordinate with staff from other agencies involved in providing Permanency Services. The position interacts routinely with clients, judges, attorneys, children, school personnel, and all other aspects of the community.

Requirements

  • Direct supervisory experience in one or more of the following areas: Permanency Supervision, Conservatorship Supervision, Family-Based Safety Services (FBSS) Supervision, Child Protective Investigations (CPI) Supervision.
  • Experience may be gained through DFPS, an SSCC, or a comparable child welfare agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 4 years full time child placing experience as a worker or above in a private or state agency.
  • Compassionate, eager to learn, and wants to help families in times of crisis to build on their strengths for healthy, long-lasting relationships by connecting them with community resources to improve their lives.
  • Desire to help children grow, learn, and build healthy families.
  • Strong desire to advocate for children and their families!

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the Permanency staff assigned to the area.
