About The Position

This is a part time dual support role working as an Administrative Assistant and Patient Care Technician. As an Administrative Assistant, you will ensure the timely and accurate completion of change requisitions, treatment logs, patient charts, invoices and purchase orders. You also will assist patients with transportation arrangements and physician appointments. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be supporting patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) in an outpatient setting. This role provides hands-on support, education, and care coordination under RN supervision to patients managing kidney failure at home. Dialysis is serious business–which is why Fun is encouraged! Let us help support you on your new journey. This is a part time position supporting our home program at our Motor City Dialysis clinic in downtown Detroit .

Requirements

Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
Comfortable working with medical supplies, blood, and needles
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays
Physical stamina for long shifts and on-your-feet work
Personable individual with excellent computer and clerical skills (Microsoft Office)
Type 60 WPM
High school diploma or GED
Obtained their CMS- approved Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification

Responsibilities

Assist with training patients and caregivers on PD procedures
Support clinical team with patient monitoring, documentation, and equipment prep
Conduct home supply inventory and assist with arranging deliveries
Monitor vital signs and collect lab specimens as needed
Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, and social workers
