About The Position

The Perioperative Assistant supports the peri-operative unit by preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures, assisting with surgical patient positioning, cleaning operating and procedure rooms after surgical and GI procedures, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment. The role also assists with transporting patients within the department and throughout the hospital, stocking medical and patient care supplies throughout the department, and ensuring surgical attire is stocked.

Requirements

• Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an operating room (OR) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
