The Perioperative Service Line Director provides the direction and leadership necessary for staff to align patient care provision with our mission, vision, values, and service standards. Alignment is essential in assuring our patients receive personalized, high-quality care. The Perioperative Service Line Director is responsible for all aspects of the strategic, operational, financial, and human resources management of Perioperative Service, ensuring that cost effective, high-quality care is rendered. The Perioperative Service Line Director will spend 25% of their time on one (1) to three (3)-year deliverables, 65% of their time on current year deliverables, and 10% of their time in daily operations. Requirements

  • MSN completed or already in process
  • Current CNOR or Comparable Board Certification or a commitment to attain and maintain within the first two (2) years of employment
  • Registered Nurse License in New Mexico
  • Minimum of at least five (5) years of progressive management experience
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills with surgeons, staff members, patients and their loved ones

Responsibilities

  • Financial and Strategic Management: Drives and wholeheartedly supports the achievement of San Juan Regional Medical Center’s strategic priorities. Understands health care economics and health care public policy. Demonstrates strong financial aptitude. Exhibits strong business planning and project management abilities. Identifies opportunities and provides direction for program development in the in-patient and clinic settings. Collaborates with Materials Management business partner to secure the clinically efficient, and cost-effective purchasing and procurement needs of Perioperative Services
  • Human Resource Management and Leadership: Knowledgeable in various recruitment and interviewing techniques. Committed to all aspects of employee development including scope of practice.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement: Consistently displays a commitment to improving quality performance. Actively participates in departmental and organizational quality initiatives. Assures the safety of patients and staff is maintained.
