Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Clinical Operations & Anesthesia, responsibilities include the direction and leadership for business performance across perioperative services at Endeavor Health. The major responsibilities include revenue cycle partnership, growth planning, budgeting, supply chain & vendor partnerships, cost control and strategic planning. Day-to-day operations include management of Operating Room (OR) Scheduling teams, productivity performance and reporting, and overall OR Utilization. Responsibilities include the business operations oversight of all departments in perioperative services, including but not limited to Surgery, Anesthesia, Preop/Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pain Clinic, Central Sterile Processing, to ensure quality, customer-focused, cost-effective patient care. Participates in the development and implementation of surgical services strategic business plans; manages and administers approved budgets and directs or participates in process improvement initiatives. Works collaboratively with appropriate resources to develop expert care and is responsible for overseeing activities to ensure customer and employee satisfaction. Models service excellence in all aspects of the role. Ensures data collection and compliance to policy/procedures and outside regulatory agencies. Partners with clinical leaders to navigate business planning and variance reporting with deep knowledge of workflows that influence performance. Responsible for maintaining technological and clinical excellence and ensuring that all sites are managed in a consistent manner, embracing patient-centered service standards and efficient operational processes that support a new level of service excellence. Ensures outcome monitoring of program initiatives and patient care are being conducted. Ensures services are coordinated efficiently and effectively from a patient care and provider perspective. In conjunction with the clinical team, physicians and hospital administration, strategic planning for future needs is an essential part of this position. This position is expected to identify and articulate common goals and opportunities and develop programmatic plans to achieve them. This includes writing and presenting proposals, negotiating their acceptance, identifying appropriate action items, creating financial analyses, and justifying budgets and selecting and measuring appropriate metrics for success. Models service excellence in all aspects of the role.
