Perioperative Registered Nurse, Main Operating Room
About The Position
The Perioperative Registered Nurse position is located in the Main Operating Room. This role involves working four 10-hour shifts, with additional call responsibilities. The position utilizes the Periop 101: A Core Curriculum program, which is a standardized education program for RNs entering the perioperative specialty. This program provides consistent, current information through classroom and online learning, along with clinical experience. It is updated to reflect the latest evidence-based Guidelines for Perioperative Practice and includes graduate-level QSEN competencies. Hospitals using Periop 101 report quality improvement, reduced training time, and stronger recruitment and retention. Upon completion of this program, the residency position will convert to a full-time OR Nurse position. Requirements
- BLS Certification required.
- Completion of Periop 101: A Core Curriculum program.
