About The Position
This role is for a Perioperative Assistant in Surgical Services. The position requires specific certifications and a significant amount of recent Operating Room (OR) experience, including specialized experience in CVOR with single-scrub capacity for cardiothoracic cases. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across various surgical specialties and a thorough understanding of sterile technique and OR procedures. Flexibility to float and participate in call and weekend coverage is also necessary.
Requirements
- Current NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Large teaching hospital experience required
- Level I Trauma experience within the last year required
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience required
- CVOR experience with single-scrub capacity for cardiothoracic cases required
- Strong experience with orthopedic, robotic, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neurosurgery procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR procedures
- Must be willing to float as required
- Call coverage required as needed
- Weekend coverage required as needed
