About The Position

The Periop Assistant role provides basic patient care. This position provides basic care pre-operatively, assists in the assigned perioperative area, and provides post-operative collaboration to maintain a clean environment. The role requires an understanding of the basic principles of asepsis and involves assigned daily tasks. The department features 10 brand new, state-of-the-art operating rooms for various surgical cases including general surgery, colorectal, breast and plastic surgery reconstruction, urology, robotics, and neurosurgery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or the equivalent preferred
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment
