Periodontal Dental Assistant/Dental Patient Coordinator
About The Position
Colorado Periodontal Group is seeking a Periodontal Dental Assistant/Dental Patient Coordinator to join their growing specialty team. This is a part-time position, working two days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays). The role involves assisting periodontists in general dentistry clinics in Colorado Springs and also stepping into a Dental Patient Coordinator role as needed. Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant with previous experience in any specialty
- X-Ray Certification required
- Active CPR or BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years of experience assisting in a perio, endo, or oral surgery specific role
- Certified Dental Assistant and previous Dental Patient Coordinator experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Genuinely welcome patients into the practice
- Assist the Periodontist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry
- A thorough review and update of the patient's health history
- Sterilization of instruments according to OSHA regulations
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies as needed for each operatory
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Step into a dental patient coordinator role as needed
