About The Position
Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a Peri-Operative Registered Nurse to provide service to our client in Ottawa, ON (Montfort Hospital). The Perioperative Registered Nurse (Periop RN) is responsible for the nursing activities associated with the needs of the surgical patient throughout the perioperative experience, which encompasses the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The Periop RNs function either as a scrub nurse or a circulating nurse.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 full-time years of peri-operative clinical experience in the last 4 years.
- Experience in performing scrub and circulating roles within general Orthopedic, Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT), and/or Plastic surgical specialties.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university.
- Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice.
- Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C. Annual recertification is required.
- Certificate from a hospital-based or ORNAC approved Perioperative Nursing Certification Program.
Responsibilities

- Function as a scrub nurse or a circulating nurse.
