Requirements
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make flexible decisions.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with medical, nursing, and other departments.
- Commitment to maintaining patient, staff, and health system confidentiality.
- Knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
- Proactive in ensuring adequate and functional equipment for safe patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in bedside patient care (long-term or acute health facility) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients, ensuring their comfort and security.
- Apply basic principles of sterilization, maintain sterile supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain OR equipment, ensuring functionality. Coordinate equipment requisitions, liaise with vendors, and manage repairs/replacements.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team, assisting with supply inventory, delivering specimens and blood products, and maintaining an organized OR suite and support areas.
- Provide coverage for Anesthesia Technician duties, including cleaning anesthesia equipment.
