About The Position
The Staff Perfusionist is responsible for operation of extra-corporal equipment providing care and/or support activities appropriate for all ages served. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, auto transfusion, intra aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited perfusion program.
- Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Perfusionist standardized procedures.
- Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
- CCP - Certified Clinical Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required.
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required.
