Perfusionist MUSC Florence Operating Room - PRN
About The Position
This is a PRN (as needed) opportunity for an experienced Perfusionist in the Operating Room at MUSC Florence. The perfusionist will collaborate with the surgical team and work under the supervision of the Chief Perfusionist/Director of Surgical Services. The role involves coordinating and participating in the management, setup, and operation of heart/lung machines and other ancillary equipment used in open heart and other cardiovascular procedures. The perfusionist will also evaluate techniques and/or equipment for clinical application, act as a resource person for the heart team, and ensure effective communication with the entire heart team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Perfusion Technology or Bachelor of Science degree with a certificate in Perfusion Technology from an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program.
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Three to five years of clinical experience preferred.
