About The Position

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

Teach 90-minute blocks in high school or four 55-minute blocks in middle school, per day of project time.
Offer students deep learning experiences that develop cognitive skills and apply content knowledge to real-world situations.
Facilitate discussions, coach students in applying cognitive skills, and provide feedback.
Analyze student data to build lesson plans and determine group and individual supports needed for student success.
Build deep relationships and a sense of community by meeting with a small group of mentees daily for their entire time at Summit.
Work on habits of success as a group and check in one-on-one with mentees.
Coach and advocate for mentees both inside and outside the classroom.
Support mentees in developing their sense of purpose and becoming self-directed learners.
Facilitate Self Directed Learning time and daily literacy or math interventions.
Provide student support, monitor progress, and check in with individuals or groups of students during Self-Directed Learning Time and Interventions.
Participate in all-faculty after-school meetings twice a week for community decisions, professional development, and grade-level or subject-level collaboration.
