We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June. Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability. The Detroit Performance & OBD Engineering team develops and validates strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across Daimler Truck’s heavy-duty powertrain portfolio. We rigorously develop and validate OBD monitors to support certification readiness, working closely with cross-functional and international teams to deliver globally competitive solutions while meeting local legislative requirements. In addition to core technical responsibilities, the role includes driving test and report automation initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and data-driven decision-making. Our engineers are motivated by the opportunity to work on advanced emissions and diagnostic technologies that support the evolution of next-generation propulsion systems.
