Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta.
  • 4 or more years related experience.
  • Passion for renewables with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Solid foundation in math, statistics, and data science.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in programming (Python/MATLAB; other languages an asset).
  • Self-motivated with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel and work on projects throughout Canada and United States.
  • Valid passport is required.
  • Applicants must be able to climb vertical stationary ladders inside wind turbine towers to heights greater than 250 feet.
  • Occasionally, employees may be required to work in adverse outdoor weather conditions in temperatures greater than 35C and lower than -20C.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference is a Master of Science (M.Sc.) or Doctoral with research experience in a field directly related to renewable power generation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead asset performance analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate performance gaps, conduct testing, and validate wind/solar uprates.
  • Enhance data platforms to deliver accurate performance and resource insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and industry partners to improve asset performance.
  • Drive performance programs and support consultants on testing and uprate activities.
  • Standardize, document, and automate analytics processes while supporting project needs.
