About The Position

As a Performance Consultant, you’ll support organizational strategy as you collaborate with budget analysts and departments to develop and evaluate County long-term plans and performance measures. You’ll lead and serve on countywide, special projects and help effectively communicate information throughout the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, public policy or related field
  • Four years of professional, full-time experience in operations, business analysis/evaluation or project management
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted
  • You communicate complex information clearly, thoughtfully, and with audience awareness.
  • You bring solid analytical, writing, and problem solving strengths — and enjoy using data to illuminate options and tradeoffs.
  • You build strong working relationships across departments and enjoy collaborative problem solving.
  • You demonstrate judgment, logic, and reasoning in identifying solutions and analyzing alternatives.
  • You thrive in environments with multiple priorities, evolving challenges, and opportunities to innovate.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, or Business Administration
  • Experience in local government service operations

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate business plan development for a portfolio of departments; consult with departmental and executive leadership to align the County’s Strategic Plan and organizational business priorities with department business plans, to reinforce a performance-driven culture.
  • Communicate county-wide performance management by leveraging performance applications, reports, and business plans.
  • Support annual work plan initiatives, projects, and operational processes. Assists with research, analysis, and project coordination activities to help identify issues and advance solutions.
  • Conduct analysis and research on budget, performance, operations and policy issues to support financial and policy discussions. Develop solutions and options for proceeding in collaboration with stakeholder partners.
  • Prepare written communications and presentations to others that effectively describe challenges, solutions and conclusions. Facilitate status and decision meetings with department and County leadership.
  • Participate in countywide planning efforts, committee work, and policy development.
