Performance Coach
About The Position
Join Exos as a Performance Coach in a corporate wellness center. The role helps clients achieve health and wellness goals through customized fitness programs, group classes, fitness assessments, and one-on-one training. The coach also supports health-promotion and specialty programs and helps manage the day-to-day operation of the fitness facility. Exos is an elite coaching company that uses an evidence-based, holistic approach to health and performance. Its services include fitness center management, on-site coaching and classes, an app, team-building experiences, executive coaching, personal development programming, and athlete training. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
- At least 6 months of industry experience, including relevant internships.
- Proven experience leading and teaching group exercise classes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an outgoing personality, strong customer service abilities, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Nice To Haves
- Current certification from a nationally accredited industry association such as NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or ACE.
Responsibilities
- Monitor exercise participants to ensure safety and adherence to workout plans.
- Lead and instruct group exercise classes for participants with varying fitness levels.
- Conduct fitness assessments, prescribe personalized exercise plans, and design workout programs for a wide range of clients, including high-risk populations.
- Provide one-on-one consultations and personalized training, and motivate clients in their fitness journeys.
- Assist with tasks that implement incentive, health-promotion, and other specialty programs to drive engagement.
- Manage administrative tasks related to fitness facility operations.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned to support smooth day-to-day operations.
