Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, or another STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics); a master's degree is highly valued.
3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a performance management role in renewable energy or a related field.
High level of English proficiency; Spanish or Portuguese is highly valued.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Programming experience with SQL, Python, or R preferred.
Knowledge of Power BI development.
Experience with big data analytics and cloud computing, including Azure, Databricks, Tableau, or Grafana, is highly desirable.
Competency in analytical problem-solving, communication, customer/partner relationships, and technology expertise preferred.
Experience with technical analysis and root cause analysis is highly valued.
Experience with generative AI assistants is highly valued.
Ability to understand and apply concepts related to wind and solar energy, including meteorology, aerodynamics, and electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Experience with network-based enterprise reporting.
Proven ability to quickly learn new software programs.
Technical understanding of the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities

Lead the identification and prioritization of the main drivers contributing to underperformance in EDPR assets.
Define, standardize, and continuously improve advanced performance indicators, analytical methodologies, and long-term issue detection frameworks, ensuring consistency and scalability across regions.
Drive the development and governance of advanced BI dashboards and analytical tools to support performance monitoring, decision-making, and executive reporting.
Ensure data quality, robustness, and traceability of performance datasets by defining validation controls, auditing processes, and best practices for automated and manual checks.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with the Asset Operations team, acting as a senior performance partner and escalation point for the Performance Analysis team in North America.
Lead and facilitate performance review meetings with Asset Operations and other stakeholders.
Provide performance insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions, long-term improvement initiatives, and resource prioritization.
Actively contribute to and lead global initiatives within the Performance Analysis community, ensuring alignment and collaboration across North America and other EDP regions.
Perform ad hoc analyses for Asset Operations and other stakeholders, translating analytical results into actionable recommendations.
Design, optimize, and oversee data extraction and transformation processes using SQL, PI, Azure databases, Databricks, and related analytics platforms.
Support continuous improvement, digitalization, and innovation initiatives related to performance analytics, tools, and processes.
Perform additional duties as required, consistent with the seniority and strategic responsibilities of the role.
