About The Position

Founded in 2019, Small Door merged with Bond Vet in July 2026, creating a combined organization with over 55 clinics across major Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest markets, serving over half a million pets. This role is crucial in advancing the shared mission to transform veterinary care. Small Door emphasizes a supportive and collaborative network for its doctors, with high standards of medicine, longer appointment times (30-60 minutes), dedicated administrative time, a favorable doctor-to-support team ratio, and skilled veterinary nurses. The organization is committed to being a sustainable workplace, practices Fear Free methods, and is AAHA accredited. The Per-Diem or Relief Veterinarian will support the team by filling in on a regular basis.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from a leading university
- 3+ years work experience in the field
- Completion of a post-grad internship training program
- Professional approach and appearance
- Excellent interpersonal and speaking skills
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday)
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the code of ethics
- Thrives in team-oriented environments
- Has a ‘glass half full’ attitude and a sense of humor!
