About The Position
This position is responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, storing, and distributing medical surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with CDC, OSHA, EPA, AAMI, and Joint Commission guidelines as required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Sterile Processing program/degree.
- One year of central supply/instrument tech experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Recent acute care experience.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
