This Per Diem RN position offers higher salaries based on experience. The role involves participating as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team to provide nursing recommendations for the overall plan of care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating preventive and routine healthcare, ensuring compliance with medical orders, scheduling and completing health-related exams and appointments, and assisting in coordinating medical program needs with community services and providers. The RN will also coordinate and provide health services training for staff, monitor delegated health-related tasks, supervise medication administration, evaluate medication errors, and complete nursing responsibilities as outlined in the Nursing Responsibility Checklist. The role requires independent judgment in suspending or revoking staff responsibilities and medication certifications. Additionally, the RN will complete medication reviews, update nursing plans, perform monthly breast exams if ordered, utilize approved technology for documentation, provide phone triage, and flex schedules as needed. The position also involves participating in nursing workgroups, maintaining compliance with regulations and policies, communicating with nursing administration, presenting during surveys, participating in plans of correction, and maintaining communication with various staff members. The RN will provide nursing coverage as directed and maintain CPR certification. Other duties may be assigned by Nursing Administration.
