About The Position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Per Diem Phlebotomists who collect blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients according to established standards and practices. Phlebotomists are responsible for ensuring the quality of the blood specimens taken, delivering specimens for processing and using hospital computer programs to input and retrieve laboratory order information. Positions are in the Unclassified Service and serve at the discretion of the appointing authority. Employees may participate in the County's PST Deferred Compensation Plan and do not earn any other benefits. Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes verification of employment history and education, in addition to, a physical exam and TB test. Per Diem positions are not Regular Positions within the County, and there should be no expectation of continued employment or guaranteed hours. Working in a Per Diem position does not preclude you from applying and competing for Regular positions within the County. San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

Requirements

Six (6) months of full-time equivalent venipuncture experience in a medical environment.
Must possess and maintain a current State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1 or CPT-2) license with the Department of Public Health.
