Per Diem Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Genoa Healthcare seeks a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the functions of its mental health and specialty pharmacy. The role primarily involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. The technician works with a coordinated care team to help people with complex health conditions obtain the right medications and follow their treatment plans. The technician must be able to provide coverage for call-outs, paid time off, and other coverage needs. Coverage hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST, with lunch from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. PST. The listed location is 1600 East Olive Street, Seattle, WA 98122.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Washington.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data into the computer to maintain inventory records.
- Work with the pharmacist to assist with pharmacy functions and maintain compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform clerical duties relating to the department.
- Communicate effectively using professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
