This role involves testing and measuring eye function to assist Ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye disorders and diseases. The technician will test patient's far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception. They will examine eyes using a slit lamp for abnormalities, apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes, and measure intraocular pressure. Additionally, the technician will test and chart patient's field of vision and measure axial length of the eye using ultrasound equipment.
