About The Position

Galileo is seeking a culturally sensitive Per Diem Nurse Practitioner with an active Texas state license to join their digital-first, primary care medical group. This role involves providing high-quality, comprehensive, and evidence-based primary care using asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video. The Nurse Practitioner will be part of a collaborative clinical care team, leveraging data, technology, and operational rigor to optimize patient outcomes and provide personalized care with shared decision-making. The position requires managing complex and chronic illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mental health, for patients aged 0-100. The role emphasizes working with a diverse patient population and solving patient problems efficiently through resourcefulness and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of advanced clinical experience in complex care, chronic care management, or primary care
  • Experienced in or have an appetite for learning digital-first healthcare (e.g. virtual medicine)
  • Interested in new, innovative models of care that balance evidence-based approaches with creative ideas
  • Highly comfortable with using technology and various applications to deliver care to patients virtually.
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Active state licensure in TX, with the ability to obtain additional state licensures

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in medical Spanish, both verbal and written communication a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class care for Galileo patients managing complex and chronic illnesses through our innovative, proprietary app and technology and your excellent clinical judgment.
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients from age 0-100 across all needs, including complex, chronic medical conditions such as: diabetes, hypertension, obesity and mental health.
  • Work with a diverse patient population.
  • Solve patient problems in an efficient, nimble manner by drawing on resourcefulness, collaborating with team members to leverage their expertise, and a “can-do” approach.
