Per Diem Hospice Physician
About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking Hospice and Palliative Care physicians to join its Medicare-certified, hospital-based hospice program. This physician will be part of the OACIS (Optimizing Advanced Complex Illness Support)/Palliative Medicine practice, a nationally recognized, innovative palliative medicine service, as a hospice-designated team member. The role involves teaching medical students, residents, and HPM fellows. LVHN is a comprehensive, integrated health network in eastern Pennsylvania, comprising eight campuses with over 1800 beds, a Children’s Hospital, 2,000 primary care and specialty physicians, and 22 outpatient health centers. It is the region's largest employer with over 18,000 employees.
Requirements
- Fellowship training and board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred, but not required.
- Must be a physician joining the Medicare-certified, hospital-based hospice program.
