This role is an "Casual Employee" (per diem, hourly clinician role) with an anticipated average of 8–20 patient care hours per week, varying according to office needs. The position involves seeing patients across multiple offices in Bethesda, MD, including offices in Maryland, Virginia, and DC. Candidates must be willing to work at any of these locations as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of primary care experience required.
  • Currently licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Maryland, and/or Virginia, and/or Washington, DC
  • The ability to build successful relationships with team members and communicate effectively both 1-on-1 and in groups.
  • Can thrive in a fast-growing, mission driven organization focused on using data to improve patient outcomes.
  • Enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics residency program
  • Board certified in Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics
  • A passion for human-centered primary care
  • The ability to successfully communicate with and provide care to individuals of all backgrounds
  • The ability to effectively use technology to deliver high quality care
  • Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care
  • The desire to be an integral part of a team dedicated to changing healthcare delivery
  • An openness to feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into strengths and weaknesses
  • The ability to confidently navigate uncertain situations with both patients and colleagues
  • Readiness to adapt personal and interpersonal behavior to meet the needs of our patients

Responsibilities

  • Seeing patients with a broad array of patient needs; conducting a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits (not a panel-building role)
  • Treating patients in-office as well as conducting occasional tele-health visits
  • Ongoing collaboration with in-office teammates via daily huddles, as well as with virtual clinical teams
  • Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to perform in-office procedures
