Join the Spiritual Care team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a 591-bed hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, where we are dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to patients. This is a per-diem rotating shift schedule including weekends/holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. In this role, the Chaplain ministers to patients, their families and staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Enrollment in or completion of one unit of CPE.
If ordained, must be in good standing with the ordaining religious body, evidenced by official endorsement or letter of good standing from a denominational official.
Anyone hired without 4 completed units of CPE will be required to complete them to maintain employment.
All roles require on-site presence (variable by role).
Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Nice To Haves

Graduate theological education or Masters' degree in a related field.
Four units of ACPE.
Actively working toward certification by a certifying body recognized by the Spiritual Care Collaborative such as APC (Association for Professional Chaplains), NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains), etc, or appropriate equivalency approved by the corporate Director of Pastoral Care & Education.
