Requirements

  • Masters degree in special education, psychology, or another related field required.
  • BCBA certificate and Massachusetts license required.
  • Minimum two years experience with individuals with autism, intellectual, and developmental disabilities, and other behavior related disorders.
  • Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid Drivers license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts assessments, reviews data and develops treatment plans in accordance with Community Employment regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts behavioral and development health assessments for participants supported in Day Habilitation within 45 days of intake, every two years, or significant change of status.
  • Develops Behavioral Support Plans in accordance with the Department of Development Services regulations.
  • Collects information for plan development through on-site observation, record review and intervies.
  • Develops behavioral treatment plans and presents to Human Rights Committee /or other governing agencies.
  • Collects behavioral data and analyzes effectiveness of treatment recommending changes to plans as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with other clinical team members, Program Directors and support staff.
  • Attends monthly Day Habilitation Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and team meetings as assigned.
