This position is based at our Detroit, Michigan manufacturing facility and supports the production of peptone products used by customers across life sciences and related industries. You will work as part of a manufacturing team committed to safety, quality, cGMP compliance, and reliable production.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
No previous work experience required.
Ability to understand and follow written procedures, SOPs, batch records, safety requirements, and verbal instructions while maintaining accurate documentation.
Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to learn the operation of manufacturing and processing equipment.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, reliability, and cGMP practices with effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify process or equipment abnormalities and promptly communicate concerns to supervision or appropriate support personnel.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness and ability to learn new processes, equipment, and manufacturing procedures.
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
Standing for full shift.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory environments, or a related field.
Experience working in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing and processing equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, cGMP requirements, and established safety procedures.
Prepare, load, transfer, and process raw materials while monitoring equipment and process parameters to ensure production requirements and quality standards are met.
Perform equipment cleaning and sanitization, complete production documentation accurately, conduct routine equipment checks, and maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
Assist with material movement, product handling, packaging, and other production activities as required.
Identify and communicate equipment, safety, quality, or process concerns to the appropriate team members and support troubleshooting activities.
Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to meet production schedules and operational goals.
