About The Position

The People Systems Support Specialist provides front-line functional and technical support for Great Hearts’ People systems, including Workday, Brightspace, SharePoint, and related tools. The role serves as an initial point of contact for systems requests, resolves routine issues, supports access administration, testing, audits, documentation, and data quality, and escalates complex or high-risk matters to the appropriate systems owner.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
  • Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • May be required to move or position equipment up to approximately 15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, information systems, or a related field preferred.
  • One or more years of experience in administrative support, operations, customer service, technical support, human resources, data quality, or a related field preferred.
  • Workday experience helpful but not required.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and attention to detail.
  • Technical curiosity and ability to learn systems quickly.
  • Excellent customer-service mindset and ability to explain information clearly.
  • Professional, positive presence and sound judgment in handling sensitive data and communications.
  • Ability to follow procedures, manage priorities, solve problems, and escalate appropriately.
  • Interest in HRIS, Workday, systems administration, or enterprise application support.
  • May need to travel locally to Great Hearts academies and offices within the Phoenix metro area.
  • May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage, escalate, resolve, and coordinate incoming People Systems requests and support tickets.
  • Provide frontline guidance for common system questions and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Identify recurring issues, documentation gaps, and service improvement opportunities.
  • Perform routine account maintenance, user access, and security administration.
  • Receive, document, and triage access or security-related requests.
  • Support access reviews, audits, and approval documentation.
  • Handle confidential information carefully and escalate sensitive or high-risk concerns.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, job aids, FAQs, training guides, and other systems documentation.
  • Support clear user education and communications for system updates, changes, and recurring needs.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for team reuse.
  • Support testing, audits, reporting, and routine system maintenance.
  • Assist with improvement projects and assigned operational work, including data entry.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous learning.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
