About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide support and appreciation to Harmons associates in the stores. This person will assist the existing manager in scheduling and conducting group interviews, conducting new associate onboarding and orientation, preparing reports, preparing for meetings, assisting the Store Director, teaching periodic classes, filing and assisting associates with various issues. This person will also provide exceptional customer service. Once a new solo People Support Manager position becomes available, this person will move to that new position at a new store.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office and the internet
  • Must have the ability to advocate, analyze and understand technology to be effective personally and have an impact on business performance
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers and fellow associates
  • Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
  • Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
  • Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized skills and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
  • Schedules and conducts group interviews
  • Conducts new associate onboarding and orientation
  • Prepares reports for the Store Director; band reports, manager’s report, manager accountability, etc.
  • Ensures raise reviews, yearly growth plans, policies and procedures, etc. are completed by managers with their associates in a timely manner
  • Schedules associates for classes and prepares a monthly meeting calendar
  • Tracks and distributes Secret Shopper reports
  • Orders office supplies, Shoes for Crews, Logo Wear and other items as necessary
  • Manages new applicants through the applicant tracking system
  • Teaches periodic classes; Teach to Taste, 401k Enrollment, Working Safe at Harmons
  • Responds to phone calls and emails in a timely, professional manner
  • Assists associates with payroll and other issues
  • Active member of the Safety Committee which helps insure the safety of both Customers and Associates
  • Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole
  • Changes the bulletin boards quarterly.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
