About The Position

Westpark Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a People Services Director to join their team. This role is a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. The Director of People Services will nurture a positive, engaged, and high-performing workforce, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the C-Suite. This leadership position plays a critical role in fostering a people-first culture that supports over 200 employees, with one HR support professional as a direct report. The role drives initiatives to enhance employee engagement, support recruitment and retention, and ensure alignment with the hospital's strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited school required.
  • Three years of human resources experience required.
  • De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
  • Two years of healthcare human resources experience preferred.
  • One year of behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior HR leader for the hospital and strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to align workforce strategies with business and operational goals.
  • Lead employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture initiatives.
  • Oversee labor relations activities, including administration of collective bargaining agreements and union partnerships.
  • Participate in and/or lead union negotiations, grievance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Direct recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention efforts to support staffing needs.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, policies, and healthcare regulations.
  • Oversee HR audits, reporting, documentation, leaves of absence, accommodations, and policy administration.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improved engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on workforce data and organizational needs.
  • Supervise and develop HR team members while fostering a positive, high-performance work environment.
  • Lead employee development, leadership development, and training initiatives across the facility.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and HR-related expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies while supporting a people-first culture.
