About The Position

Anthropic is seeking an exceptional senior People Partner to support its critical Research teams, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is a key part of the People Partner team, focusing on significant HR projects in collaboration with Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and other departments. The position offers excellent coaching and strategic support to senior leaders and managers within Research functions, who are dedicated to creating safe AGI for the benefit of humanity. The People Partner will be instrumental in developing HR policies and strategies tailored to the unique needs of these teams, serving as a trusted leader and guide on various employee-related matters.

Requirements

Experience operating at a fast-growing Tech company in HR.
Fluency with employment law and best practices in North America.
Experience working at a tech company, start-up, or a similarly fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 6+ years experience working in People Partner, People Operations, Employee Relations, Recruiting, or other closely related functions.
Experience working with AI focused Research and Engineering teams.
Deep care for helping and supporting a diverse set of people at all levels of an organization, excelling in supporting employees and managers to do their best work.
Proven experience and skill sets in providing confidential, practical support and are trained in topics like conflict resolution.
Strong working knowledge of human-resource-related best practices and are able to effectively implement these in a culturally appropriate fashion.
Be a pragmatic problem-solver and enjoy developing creative solutions.
Thrive in building and scaling processes, and enjoy identifying and setting up new systems at a quickly growing company.
Care about ensuring that advanced AI systems are developed safely, and have a deep curiosity about artificial intelligence and its potential applications.

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders in Research.
Provide support to employees and managers on all human resource-related topics throughout their lifecycle at Anthropic in partnership with other People team experts (e.g. Benefits, Compensation, etc.).
Work closely with management to create a culture of high performance based on our values and team culture while helping ensure that performance management and employee relations issues are managed appropriately.
Act as a partner and liaison with specialist teams (e.g. Benefits, Compensation, etc.), leadership, and finance, to help Anthropic continue to implement top-tier, scalable programs and policies to attract and retain and grow outstanding talent at Anthropic.
Work on cross-functional projects with other People Partners and partners in specialist teams to enable and grow our Ants (e.g. Manager training, etc.).
