About The Position

The People Optimization Consultant leads workforce strategy initiatives that strengthen hiring, onboarding, development, and workforce readiness across Select Health. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, translating workforce strategy into practical solutions and driving adoption of changes that improve leadership effectiveness, caregiver engagement, and operational outcomes. The role is embedded within Select Health and ensures alignment with enterprise workforce, learning, and caregiver experience standards while adapting solutions to the needs of a health plan environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in workforce strategy, organizational development, change management, learning and development, or related consulting work.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in industrial‑Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience working in healthcare or health plan environments.
  • Experience influencing leaders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workforce strategy initiatives related to hiring, onboarding, upskilling, role clarity, and leadership development.
  • Lead CIT and retrospective processes to identify performance, system, and learning issues and inform targeted workforce solutions.
  • Advise and influence leaders to clarify skill expectations, proficiency levels, and promotion readiness.
  • Lead the people‑side of change initiatives, identifying adoption risks and adjusting approaches to ensure sustained behavior change.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve workforce tools (e.g., documentation templates, onboarding frameworks, CIT) based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Integrate enterprise skills‑based practices into Select Health hiring and development processes.
  • Partner with enterprise teams to align Select Health workforce initiatives with enterprise standards.
  • Ensure leaders use HR‑approved, enterprise‑vetted workforce tools and practices.
