About The Position

As Wrike continues to scale globally, we’re reimagining how People Operations delivers consistent, high-quality employee experiences while maintaining operational agility and compliance across regions. We’re hiring a People Operations Specialist (AMS) to own and elevate the employee experience across our U.S. and Costa Rica workforce. This role sits at the center of execution — strengthening and scaling the operational foundation that supports every stage of the employee journey. As a hands-on individual contributor within a global People Operations model, you will partner closely with the Director, Global People Operations, Team Leads, and cross-functional stakeholders. From onboarding through offboarding, benefits through payroll inputs, and governance through systems optimization, you will ensure our people processes are seamless, scalable, compliant, and experience-driven across jurisdictions. This role is built for someone who thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment — balancing precision with empathy, operational rigor with thoughtful engagement, and autonomy with sound judgment. You’re comfortable working remotely, collaborating across time zones, and contributing meaningfully to a distributed global team.

Requirements

  • Operational Depth
  • You have hands-on experience owning end-to-end employee lifecycle execution, benefits administration, compliance processes, and payroll inputs. You understand how People Operations workflows connect and how small errors can create downstream impact.
  • Execution-Oriented Operator
  • You are a doer. You take ownership of work from start to finish, manage multiple priorities without losing detail, and deliver accurate, timely outcomes. You proactively move work forward and know when to escalate thoughtfully.
  • AI-Embedded & Systems Mindset
  • You are comfortable leveraging HR systems, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance service delivery. You look for opportunities to simplify and scale through technology.
  • Compliance & Risk Awareness
  • You operate with strong attention to detail and documentation discipline, understanding the importance of regulatory alignment, clean data, and defensible processes across jurisdictions
  • Cross-Functional & Distributed Collaboration
  • You collaborate effectively across HRBPs, Payroll providers, Finance, IT, and local leadership. You communicate clearly across time zones and maintain ownership even when multiple stakeholders are involved.

Nice To Haves

  • You take pride in operational excellence and genuinely care about getting the details right — especially when those details impact people’s pay, benefits, or experience.
  • You’re naturally curious about how systems, automation, and AI can simplify processes and reduce manual work.
  • You enjoy working in a distributed, global environment and communicate proactively across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Own and elevate the employee journey — from onboarding through transition or exit — ensuring every stage is intentional, seamless, compliant, and engaging.
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle execution, including onboarding, internal mobility, compensation changes, leave transitions, and offboarding with precision and care.
  • Ensure each lifecycle touchpoint delivers clarity, responsiveness, and a high-quality employee experience — not just transactional completion.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HRBPs, Payroll, IT, and Finance to coordinate smooth transitions and consistent employee communications.
  • Contribute to employee engagement through thoughtful onboarding experiences, milestone touchpoints, and regional initiatives that strengthen connection and retention.
  • Identify lifecycle friction points and implement improvements that enhance experience, documentation integrity, and operational scalability.
  • Manage and continuously enhance the benefits portfolio across the U.S. and Costa Rica, ensuring alignment with local regulations, global frameworks, and employee needs.
  • Oversee country-specific health, retirement, insurance, statutory leave, and wellness offerings, managing plan design, vendor coordination, and ongoing optimization.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees navigating enrollments, life events, and leave-related matters.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless administration, cost awareness, and timely issue resolution.
  • Strengthen communication and education around programs to increase awareness, understanding, and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and improve benefits processes while honoring regional regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure people operations practices align with applicable regulatory frameworks across assigned jurisdictions while strengthening operational integrity.
  • Maintain alignment with employment, workforce, and data privacy regulations in both the U.S. and Costa Rica.
  • Support compliance-related processes, including background checks, policy acknowledgments, reporting requirements, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively escalate risks or process gaps with clear recommendations.
  • Maintain organized documentation to support governance and transparency.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure people practices are compliant, sustainable, and scalable.
  • Safeguard payroll accuracy by ensuring clean inputs and reliable data across systems.
  • Submit payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, compensation updates, bonuses, and leave adjustments accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all employee data changes are correctly reflected in HR systems prior to payroll processing.
  • Partner closely with Payroll and FP&A to resolve discrepancies, audit variances, and meet submission deadlines.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity to support accurate reporting and financial accountability.
  • Operate with a continuous-improvement mindset, leveraging systems, automation, and AI to scale People Operations effectively.
  • Review and refine operational workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce manual effort.
  • Leverage HR systems and AI-enabled tools to automate routine processes, improve case management, and enhance employee self-service.
  • Identify practical AI use cases across documentation, knowledge bases, reporting, and inquiry resolution.
  • Strengthen documentation and standardization to ensure processes are repeatable and globally scalable.
  • Use people data and operational metrics to inform improvements and support strategic decision-making.
