About The Position

As Masabi moves into its next stage of growth, we’re building the foundations that help our teams do their best work and grow with us. This role is about shaping how People Operations supports that journey. You’ll bring clarity, care and consistency to the employee experience, from onboarding and everyday support through to people programs, systems and the moments that matter most. You’ll own the day-to-day running of People Operations end-to-end, from onboarding and employee queries through to core programs, compliance, payroll inputs, systems and vendor coordination, helping everything run smoothly and without unnecessary friction. This role sits at the intersection of strong HR fundamentals and operational thinking. You’ll be hands-on, trusted to improve workflows, build better ways of working and reduce manual work over time using systems, data and automation where it makes sense. This is a builder role for someone who enjoys spotting what feels unclear, repetitive or overly manual, and turning it into something simpler, more thoughtful and more effective. The right person will care as much about people as they do about how things run. You’ll notice where employees or managers experience friction, and take the lead in making things simpler, more human and easier to navigate.

Requirements

  • You’ve worked in People Operations, HR Operations or in a HR Generalist role, and you’re comfortable owning things end-to-end
  • You’re confident with systems, spreadsheets and data, and you use them to stay organised, spot patterns and support decisions
  • You naturally look for ways to improve how things work, and you enjoy building processes, workflows and simple solutions that make things easier and more scalable
  • You’re happy being hands-on, and care about getting the detail right without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • You’re proactive and self-directed, you don’t wait to be told what to do, you notice gaps and step in to fix them
  • You bring empathy and good judgement in how you support people, especially when things are sensitive or unclear
  • You’re eager to use automation, AI or technology to simplify work and improve the employee experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a tech or scaling environment, where processes are evolving and not fully built yet
  • Familiarity with UK or EMEA employment practices
  • Familiarity with HR systems like BambooHR, and confidence picking up new tools quickly
  • Experience supporting remote or globally distributed teams
  • Some exposure to vendor management, payroll inputs, benefits or EOR models

Responsibilities

  • Own the running of People Operations across a globally distributed workforce, from employee queries and lifecycle changes to onboarding, offboarding, contracts, benefits and HR systems
  • Partner with the wider People team to deliver key People programs such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation cycles and probation tracking
  • Build and improve processes, workflows, programs and self service experiences so they’re clear, consistent and easy to follow
  • Keep people data accurate and useful, maintaining BambooHR, supporting reporting and giving the team visibility when they need it
  • Keep core People Operations compliant, organised and audit-ready across systems, training, documentation and employee records
  • Work closely with Finance, IT, People Partners and external providers to keep payroll inputs, onboarding, EOR processes and vendors running smoothly
  • Build more scalable and thoughtful People Operations as Masabi grows, improving employee experience across key moments in the employee lifecycle
