About The Position

CXG is a growing professional services firm operating in the financial services and compliance space. We support regulated firms nationwide and pride ourselves on being practical, professional, and people-first. While much of our team works remotely, we are intentionally rebuilding a consistent in-office presence in Smithtown, NY. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of that energy and helping create a well-run, welcoming, and organized workplace. We are seeking an organized, personable People Operations & Office Coordinator to serve as the day-to-day operational glue of our organization. This is an in-office role, Monday through Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm. This position is operations-first. While prior HR experience is helpful, you do not need deep labor law knowledge. We will teach the right person our systems and processes over time. This role is ideal for someone early-to-mid in their career who enjoys keeping things running smoothly, supporting people, and learning how internal operations work in a growing company. Requirements

  • Has 2–5 years of experience in office operations, administrative support, HR coordination, or similar roles
  • Is highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Enjoys being the go-to person others rely on
  • Values a structured, in-office work environment
  • Is interested in growing into broader people operations responsibilities over time
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant professional experience considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics
  • Maintain employee records and internal documentation
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and requests
  • Assist with benefits enrollment logistics and internal communications
  • Support payroll coordination and people operations tracking
  • Help ensure internal processes are organized and up to date
  • Post open roles and manage incoming applications
  • Coordinate interviews and candidate communications
  • Support hiring managers with scheduling and logistics
  • Be a consistent, friendly presence in the Smithtown office
  • Keep the office organized, functional, and welcoming
  • Manage supplies, scheduling, and general coordination
  • Help create structure and rhythm as in-office collaboration increases
