We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. About the Role We are scaling quickly at Base as we work to solve one of the largest and complex machines, the grid. Our growth continues to increase and we are now looking for a People (HR) Coordinator to be the second dedicated member of our People Ops Team. You won’t just be pushing paperwork; you’ll be shaping the employee experience as the face of onboarding. You will have the ability to help build out processes and give input on how we implement them. You’ll also be helping ensure our culture continues to thrive as we continuously scale our employee population. At Base, you’ll have a seat at the table and the ability to grow your career with high ownership. About This Team As a lean but mighty team, we are building the foundational, scalable infrastructure necessary to transition from a fast-growing startup to a scalable organization. We are working to define how we hold employees accountable, handle people-related items, and directly shape a fair and consistent culture as we scale. This work is extremely impactful as we help build the true foundation on how Base operates for years to come. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (HR, Psychology, Business) or 1+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • You catch the typos, love checklists, and you have a commitment to maintaining 100% accuracy on confidential items.
  • Ability to maintain composure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Clear and empathetic verbal/written skills to support our team across all departments.
  • Highly motivated to grow within HR, taking initiative to improve processes as we scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding journey, making sure every new hire feels like a rockstar from the moment they sign to their 30th day.
  • Verify I9s and handle compliance documentation with high precision, ensuring our data is pristine.
  • Be the champion and owner of our HRIS (i.e. Rippling). You’ll keep employee data, records, and org charts accurate and up-to-date.
  • Build out and maintain secure, organized digital personnel files.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions, keeping our HR inbox organized and managing employee profile changes with care.
  • Help with exciting projects that may come up, and collaborate with other teams on overlapping responsibilities.
