About The Position

We are seeking a People Operations & HRIS Associate to support our growing, multi-state team. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience who is comfortable owning HR systems and payroll operations, while continuing to grow within a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for ensuring HR systems, payroll, and day-to-day people operations run smoothly.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related field
  • Experience working in an HRIS platform (Paylocity experience strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and workforce administration
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with systems and learning new tools quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to balance both systems-oriented work (HRIS/payroll) and employee-facing responsibilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-location or multi-state environments
  • Exposure to high-growth or operationally complex organizations

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain our HRIS (Paylocity), including implementation support, data integrity, and ongoing optimization
  • Own and support payroll operations, including audits, off-cycle payrolls, and issue resolution
  • Partner with General Managers to reduce administrative burden related to HR processes
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized HR processes in partnership with senior leadership
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive and professional experience
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts, including scheduling and candidate communication
  • Handle routine employee relations matters and escalate more complex issues as appropriate
  • Support performance management processes through coordination, tracking, and reporting (not design or ownership of company-wide programs)
  • Liaise with third-party providers (e.g., benefits administrator) to support employee needs
