The People Operations Coordinator supports the People Operations department with all administrative and operational duties. This role serves as the primary point of contact for team member inquiries, handling each with professionalism and care. The position also contributes to key People Operations functions, including benefits administration, system and data management, process improvement, and enhancing the overall team member experience. Responsibilities

  • Supports the People Operations department with administrative and operational duties.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for team member questions, handling them with professionalism and care.
  • Contributes to benefits administration, system and data management, and process improvement.
  • Delivers solutions that elevate the team member experience.
  • Performs and streamlines administrative duties of a diversified nature.
  • Receives and screens phone calls, takes accurate messages, and handles situations appropriately.
  • Opens, screens, and distributes incoming correspondence, attaching back-up information when possible.
  • Coordinates the timely delivery of Baby gifts, bereavement, and get well gifts.
  • Assists with initiating background checks.
  • Schedules candidates for interviews with the General Manager and other Executive Committee members.
  • Assists with tools and supplies needed for People Operations activities.
  • Administers the 1 Token Program.
  • Handles time clock enrollment for new employees.
  • Creates and maintains new hire and personnel files, entering them into People Operations Information Systems.
  • Enters employee deductions into the payroll system.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Informs People Operations management of issues related to employee relations.
  • Responds to employee and management questions, requests, and concerns regarding company and People Operations programs, policies, and guidelines.
  • On-boards new hires and updates relevant documents in their electronic file.
  • Processes and handles benefits enrollment and eligible 401(k) participants.
  • Distributes and tracks performance reviews for all employees on a monthly basis.
  • Screens and routes incoming resumes to the Hiring Manager.
  • Maintains locker assignment listings.
  • Cleans out lockers of terminated employees, returns uniforms, and handles personal belongings.
  • Assists the Security Department in locker inspections.
  • Assists the Training Manager and Recruiting Manager with special projects.
  • Assists recruiting efforts, including job fair preparation and collateral.
  • Assists the Recruiting Manager with job posting and onboarding coordination of J1 hires and all new hires.
  • Coordinates new hires with Recruiting Manager and Training Manager.
  • Posts employee information, reminders, and recognition on Share.
  • Updates the training matrix.
  • Updates new hires and terminations.
  • Enters volunteer hours and training hours in the payroll system.
