About The Position

As a People Operations & Community generalist at Candid, you’ll work side-by-side with our Head of People and People Operations Lead and partner closely with leaders across the company to help build the systems, culture, and experiences that define life at Candid. Your primary goal is to ensure every employee has an exceptional experience - from the moment they sign their offer through the day they eventually leave. This is a high-growth, high-impact role for someone early in their career excited to take on real ownership and learn how a scaling health tech startup operates from the inside.

Requirements

  • Community and culture-oriented: you enjoy planning events and bringing people together (e.g., you may have been an RA, in student government, done TFA/teaching, or organized campus/community activities).

  • Comfortable with ambiguity at a rapidly scaling startup and excited to grow into larger projects as you ramp.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day People Ops administration and serve as a point of contact for employee-related needs, including employment verifications, onboarding coordination, open enrollment, HR system updates, and core employee lifecycle processes.
  • Help translate complex people processes into scalable systems and automated workflows that drive continuous improvement and enable effective hypergrowth.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of both company-wide employee experience initiatives (offsites and holiday parties) and office-specific engagement programs. This includes coordinating with local social committees to ensure events are planned and executed within budget.
  • Partner closely with our Head of People and People Ops Lead as a trusted, high-discretion right hand on both fun culture-building projects and sensitive People initiatives.
