About The Position

The People Department Generalist serves as the primary on-site people partner for the Ardmore facility, supporting employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for day-to-day people operations, employee relations, compliance, recruiting coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance support. The Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to site leadership while ensuring alignment with company-wide People policies, processes, and culture. This position also supervises the Receptionist and is responsible for administering other office-related duties. This role may also assist with supporting the company’s Bentonville, Arkansas facility as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting hourly, skilled trades, or operations-heavy environments
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), as well as familiarity with HRIS systems.

Nice To Haves

  • HR experience in aviation, manufacturing, MRO, or regulated environments
  • Multi-site or matrixed organization experience
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification
  • Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding People Department policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, corrective action, attendance issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Support investigations related to employee relations issues in partnership with People leadership.
  • Promote a positive, compliant, and respectful workplace culture aligned to our King Kulture and Cornerstone Principles.
  • Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting efforts for the Ardmore facility in partnership with the Home Office Recruiter.
  • Assist the Home Office Recruiter with job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and offer coordination for the facility.
  • Lead local onboarding activities, including new hire orientation, I-9 verification, and policy acknowledgements.
  • Ensure smooth integration of new employees into the organization.
  • Administer People Department policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
  • Support compliance requirements related to aviation, manufacturing, and safety-sensitive roles.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and internal controls as required.
  • Support employee questions related to benefits, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and payroll coordination.
  • Assist with annual benefits enrollment activities and communications.
  • Partner with the Home Office People team on compensation reviews, promotions, and job changes.
  • Support performance review cycles and manager training initiatives.
  • Assist with employee engagement efforts, recognition programs, and site-level morale initiatives.
  • Help identify training and development needs for the Ardmore workforce.
  • Partner closely with site leadership to align people strategies with operational goals.
  • Provide HR data, insights, and recommendations to support workforce planning
  • Act as a culture carrier and ambassador for company values at the site level.
