About The Position

Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking a People & Culture Manager to support the day-to-day HR needs of our team members and leaders. This role is ideal for a well-rounded hotel human resources professional who can confidently manage employee relations, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, workers’ compensation, HR systems, and other day-to-day needs while partnering closely with the Director of People & Culture to support the hotel and its teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources / People & Culture experience in full-service, upscale, or luxury hospitality.
  • Broad HR experience across employee relations, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, workers’ compensation, and HR systems.
  • Comfortable independently handling routine associate and leader concerns.
  • Strong judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to balance hands-on administrative work with frequent associate and leader interaction.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems required.

Nice To Haves

  • Rippling experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for team members and leaders on day-to-day People & Culture needs.
  • Handle routine employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and policy questions, partnering with the Director of People & Culture on more complex issues.
  • Support payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, recruiting, onboarding, and HRIS administration.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and help ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Troubleshoot common questions involving pay, benefits, timekeeping, job codes, and HR systems.
  • Maintain accurate associate records and support employment changes, leaves, verifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Support associate engagement, recognition, training, and other People & Culture initiatives.
  • Help manage the daily flow of the People & Culture office, including walk-ins, phone calls, administrative needs, and unexpected issues.
  • Take ownership of routine questions and problems through resolution, using sound judgment and available resources.
